Andrew and I came to the Bronx Zoo when we visited NYC in 2010. We couldn’t wait to bring the kids here as well. The Bronx Zoo is one of my favorite zoos I’ve ever visited. The animals have huge areas to roam around in, and the zoo puts multiple species in the same pen. For instance, some ostriches were in the same pen as giraffes. The zoo is also really well organized with entire sections representing a continent. So one whole section is Asian animals, and another African animals. In addition, the Bronx Zoo houses one of my favorite animals, the Red Panda. I’m not sure what else there is to say about this zoo, other than to hurry up and go see it! NYC and the Bronx have an amazing zoo right there to take advantage of. Wednesdays are even free!
